  1. Hi Katie. We were in Lesvos at the same time as you, staying in Skala Kalloni. I just happened to take a look at your blog for the first time in a while and noticed your unidentified insects.

    According to the book loaned to us for the trip by my friend Pete (quacks of life), I think your darter may be a Southern Darter. It's the nearest thing I can find. Also, the Orange tip thingy could be a female. I don't have a European butterfly book - the friend who went with us took his - but I think the other white butterfly is a Balkan White. We saw loads of those.
