Nene Washes

Snipe

Yellow Wagtails

Went for a stroll down the Nene Washes with Toadsnatcher. It was very pleasant, but could have been even more so if it wasn't so flippin' cold. The wind has turned north-easterly and it's still not very warm out there.

There were no unusual birds but all the regulars (Garganey, Lapwing, Black-tailed Godwit, Snipe, Marsh Harriers, Barn Owl, Redshank, Meadow Pipit) were doing their spectacular stuff. Hopefully it'll be a good breeding season.

Most birds are underrated in my opinion!

  2. Thanks for that very nice blog ! I would love to make pictures of birds, especially the ones I see everyday on my way to work. But it is still a bit difficult with my little coolpix and I am not a very good photograph...bird are usually moving too fast and are too small for my little camera to properly focus. But I keep trying and will visit you blog to learn about the english names of birds.

    Thanks.
