Hayle

This Curlew was the bird that came closest

We made a couple of visits to Hayle; it's always a good place to watch birds going about their business on the estuary. There was a good assortment of waders and gulls, with a scattering of Wigeon and Teal.

The best entertainment was provided by the Peregrines which seemed to be overhead almost constantly. We didn't see them catch anything, though one Black-tailed Godwit had a close call, before the falcon was escorted off the premises by a very determined Carrion Crow. I wished I had my DSLR with me when they flew right over our heads...
