A young male Sparrowhawk has been in the garden again this afternoon. After another unsuccessful raid, he retired to consider his next move and to have a preen.
Good photos! I had a female Sparrowhawk take a Blackbird off the patio right outside my kitchen window the other day. She stayed long enough for me to get the bins, but not long enough for me to get the camera, unluckily.
Good to see her though - even more so because just the other side of the wall there were a crowd of parents waiting to collect their kids from school, totally oblivious of the drama being enacted so nearby.
